I use Pinterest primarily as a manifestation platform.
I have my BRIEFCASE life sectors discussed in another post. If you aren’t familiar BRIEFCASE is an acronym to remember my life sectors.
- Body
- Relationships
- Introspection
- Environment
- Finances
- Career
- Administration
- Spirituality
- Entertainment
So on Pinterest I have my boards for my life sectors discussed. The beautiful thing about life is that the sectors have great overlap.
Lately I have been praying for a better paying job. The encompasses spirituality, career, and finances.
So I have another board focused on the rest of this year. All of the life sectors blend here.
I am a Christian girlie. I do not like stray too far into woo woo territory. But I do practice manifesting. I pray for what I want. Then I try to visualize myself receiving what I asked for. And that is how I manifest things.
And it works.
Take the job prayer example. I’ve been online looking at job postings. I’ve submitted many applications. Previously I just wanted a new job with slightly better pay where I’m relocating to. I am manifesting a much better job. So I stopped even filling out applications for companies not in my newly desired pay range. Previously I felt unqualified and like what I wanted was out of reach. Now I am seeing jobs in my desired salary range that I am qualified for. Some I’m overqualified for. But before I practiced manifesting I would not have even applied for these jobs. I’ve since updated my LinkedIn profile and resume.
This is all good stuff. But I am essentially rewiring my brain. And it stresses me out.
I have to tell myself something that is out of my element is possible for me. Then I have to make a plan to achieve it. And that is so uncomfortable and stressful. Manifesting is constantly overwriting imposter syndrome.
And I have to be mindful with manifesting because in some ways it can fuel imposter syndrome. What if I do get the job that I want- Am I lucky or did I earn it?
So I have to want bigger. I usually want what’s familiar and what I know already is possible. Then once I want something I have to imagine it possible and under certain conditions likely for me to obtain. Then I have to convince myself I deserve it.
And being that far out of my comfort zone is stress inducing.
All the same stress today is worth it for a better tomorrow.
