I’m doing my morning doomscrolling and everything is so boring. I don’t know if the algorithm is struggling to identify content I’m actually interested in engaging with or if there’s a lack of content I like in general.

I miss engaging stories. I could find a podcast entertaining but it seems that people are constantly reacting to other people’s videos. It seems an endless loop and where is all the original content?

The original content I see is often tutorials or doom and gloom. And even that isn’t so original.

The internet feels so negative. And look at me being a stereotype complaining about the very thing I’m doing.

But I’m glad I identified this is a problem and I don’t have to participate. So I’ll just talk about one of my cool concept ideas. I don’t have the means to create my vision yet but I’ll share one of my ideas now.

It’s a concept album with a china theme.

I’ll go more in depth about my idea in another post.

But I started off complaining. And then I realized I don’t have to have a complete project before I start sharing my ideas and inspiration. I want content that’s not another tutorial and that isn’t a conversation about someone else’s conversation or a thought piece about society. I want more art. I want more unperfected indie art. It’s so inspiring.

And I mean art in the broadest form.

So this is a plea to share your stories with me. Please I hope everyone is encouraged to change the internet to a more positive and experimental place.
